Lucy O'Donovan has drawn and painted all her life. She began by using watercolours but then discovered oils as an adult. She most enjoys studying and painting the human form - her study of anatomy allowing her to imagine and picture the structures under the skin.
She is a vet, who after a short time in practice ventured back to her Glasgow vet school to do a PhD. She then followed her passion and pursued brain research and brain disease, which ended when she had a brain injury in 2008. She has since then turned to painting.
